| Oak Street was the "downtown" of Mount Carmel. Stores, restaurents, banks and clubs lined this street. This Post Card appears to be from the late 1920's or early 1930's. Albert Strike, Cecelia's youngest brother had a paint and wallpaper store on this street. Notice the trolley tracks which ran to Shamokin. |
