| "Nig" Arnold is on the left with Edward immediately to the right. The others are unknown banquet attendees. Banquets occurred on any non-summer day. The menu usually consisted of baked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravey, and a vegetable. Brick ice cream was usually the dessert. The daughters worked as waitresses. These events were particularly exhausting because they occured in the evening and the work day was not over until late at night. |
